Maribel R. Gaite, MBA, Ph.D.

Dr. Maribel Gaite, MBA is a graduate of Doctor of Philosophy in Education, major in Research and Evaluation from the University of the Philippines, Diliman where she is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi as well as the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences. She received a Best Thesis Award in Agri-Economics from UPLB where she graduated Cum Laude, Outstanding MBA Thesis from the Philippine Association for Graduate Education (PAGE) and Best Dissertation Area Nomination for Research and Evaluation at UP Diliman. Dr. Gaite, with the Artists Guild of Santa Maria (AGOS) and the De La Salle Professional Schools won in the World Bank Panibagong Paraan Project Grant Competition in 2006.

She began her career in research at SGV & Co.at the age of 19, and later became a Research Consultant at La Consolacion; Managing Editor, De La Salle Journal of Business and Management; and DLSU Dept. Chair for Corporate Social Responsibility. She is an active member of the Mixed Methods International Research Association (MMIRA).

Her more recent studies, which centered on school turnaround, sustainable human development, volunteerism and critical
realism using mixed methods approach, were presented in various national and international conferences held at the University of Vienna, Austria, University of Southampton, United Kingdom, QS Apple, Hongkong, Athens Institute for Education and Research in Athens, Greece and at the Pacific Regional Mixed Methods International Research Conference at Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand.

She is a Senior Lecturer II at UP College of Education, teaching Research Methods, Program Evaluation, Qualitative Research, Statistics, and Mixed Methods Research.

She has been a volunteer teacher at Mater Dei Academy, teaching Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research and Applied Economics to Senior High school students.

Dr. Gaite and her husband serve as the President Couple of the Parish Renewal Experience (PREX) in the Philippines.
